A wine obtained from a blend of grapes of two different vineyards: Barbera and Nebbiolo: their percentages are not fixed, but vary according to each year.
The vineyards in which the Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes are grown are situated at our “Canavere” wine farm in Monforte d’Alba and Madonna Como in Alba. The wine is matured in French oak casks for approximately a year.
The two vineyards bring, at different times, their peculiarities: initially the bouquet and colour of the Barbera prevail and the tannicity of the Nebbiolo, while the Barbera reveals its freshness and acidity, the Nebbiolo reveals its complexity.
